There are two modes in this game: the main game and the time trial. When you have decided which game mode it is that you would like to play, you can then choose the character who you want to use. Choose among the 4 characters: Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Cream. The goal of the game is to get your character to finish a level. Along the way, you have to jump on enemies and collect the golden rings. The rings will help increase your life. If you lose all your rings and get hit by an enemy, you lose a life.
